Government Moves to Enforce Waste Sorting At Source

Uganda plans to require households, institutions and large organisations to sort waste where they dispose of it, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja said.

The nationwide measure aims to improve waste management, reduce poor disposal practices and promote recycling. Local governments will be responsible for promoting waste separation within communities.
