Govt-Private Sector Collaboration Crucial for Aviation Growth, Says Aero Contractors CEO

Constructive collaboration between the federal government and the private sector is essential for spurring national development, particularly within the aviation industry, according to Captain Ado Sanusi, CEO of Aero Contractors. Sanusi emphasized this point during a recent visit by Hadiza Bala-Usman, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU).

Bala-Usman toured Aero Contractors' Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, a key asset for the airline and a strategic aviation hub for West and Central Africa. She showed a keen interest in understanding how government support can foster the growth of private aviation enterprises and enhance their contribution to Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

It was an honour to welcome Hadiza Bala Usman to Aero Contractors. I had the pleasure of taking her on a tour of our operations, and in particular our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre, which continues to position Aero Contractors as a strategic aviation asset capable of supporting operators across West and Central Africa.

Sanusi highlighted Bala-Usman's "genuine curiosity and the depth of her questions," noting her "sincere interest in how government can better support the growth of our aviation industry." He commended her understanding of policy and institutional development, despite not having an aviation background, attributing it to her results-driven mandate at the CRDCU.
