Grand Theft Auto VI reveals official cover art, November 2026 release confirmed

Rockstar Games has unveiled the official cover art for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), setting the release date for November 19, 2026. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The striking cover art presents a collage of action-packed scenes set in Vice City, a fictional location inspired by South Florida. Featured imagery includes high-speed motorcycle chases, a crocodile emerging from water, a sports car with scissor doors, and a speedboat. Prominently displayed are the game's two protagonists, Lucia and Jason Duval, at the center, alongside the franchise's iconic logo and the Roman numeral VI.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI are scheduled to begin on June 25, 2026, through digital platforms and select retailers. Rockstar Games also announced that players who own GTA on PS4 and Xbox One can upgrade to the new-generation console version for free starting June 18, the same day the cover art was revealed.

This latest installment follows the adventures of Lucia and Jason Duval in Vice City. The game's development has seen a few shifts in its release timeline; the first trailer debuted in December 2023 with an initial 2025 release target, which was later adjusted to May 2026, and finally to November 19, 2026.
