Graphics Card Prices to Rise 10-20%, NVIDIA Re-releases RTX 3060

Graphics card prices are set to climb, with Taiwan's retail sector anticipating a 10% to 20% increase for RTX 5060 and higher models. This price adjustment is attributed to factors including tight chip supply and production capacity adjustments.

The RTX 5060, currently priced at NT$10,990 for the base model, could see its price jump to between NT$12,089 and NT$13,188, an increase of NT$1,000 to NT$2,000. Whether models below the RTX 5060 will follow suit remains uncertain, as actual price changes will depend on the brand, specific model, inventory, and shipping costs.

To help consumers manage the rising costs, retailers like Xin Ya Digital suggest focusing on overall system budgets and exploring bundle discounts on other components. Meanwhile, NVIDIA is reportedly preparing to reintroduce the 2021 RTX 3060 12GB. While its older architecture means lower performance compared to the RTX 5060 8GB, its larger memory capacity and anticipated lower price point could fill the gap left by the RTX 5060's price increase, offering an alternative for budget-conscious buyers.
