Green River Festival turns the Sava embankment into a stage for all generations

The Sava embankment is hosting a broad mix of music, art and community events as Green River Festival continues through the end of September. Admission to every event is free.

The week’s program includes a literary and musical evening devoted to poetry, moderated by Laramic. It will be followed by a performance from Cona, a singer-songwriter and satirist whose guitar and trumpet show combines music, humor and audience interaction.

Visitors can also join Ivana Jerković’s Book'N'Paint session, themed “Sailors on the Sava,” with painting taking place beside the river. On Thursday, Neki novi klinci, a Đorđe Balašević tribute band with nearly two decades of performances, will bring his songs to the embankment. Friday features DJ Mag’s “Tribute to Magazin,” built around recognizable songs from different periods of the popular domestic pop group.

The weekend program includes an evening art bazaar featuring local creators, handicrafts and art. Tanja and Marko will perform acoustically, joined by djembe player Commi Balde. Sunday will combine the bazaar with a Bela tournament and a free ceramic workshop by Jeramika. The festival has 20 places available for the workshop.
