Grillo finishes 7th at 3M Open as rookie Koivun claims title

Emiliano Grillo experienced a mixed performance at the 3M Open, ultimately finishing in seventh place after a late-game stumble. The Argentine golfer, who was within three strokes of the lead with 18 holes remaining, faltered in the final round. He began with a bogey on the second hole and struggled with inconsistency throughout the day, including another bogey on the ninth. Despite a strong recovery with consecutive birdies on holes 11 and 12, and an impressive eagle on the par-4 16th from a long putt, Grillo could not close the gap.

The tournament title was claimed by 21-year-old rookie Jackson Koivun, who delivered a stellar final round of 66 (-5) to secure his maiden PGA Tour victory. Koivun, playing in only his fourth career event, demonstrated remarkable composure under pressure, finishing at 259 (-25) for the tournament. His performance stood in contrast to Grillo's struggles on Sunday, which included a crucial bogey on the 17th hole and a par on the 18th, preventing him from achieving a potentially higher third-place finish.
