Group Says Anti-Terror War Strengthened by Better Intel, Military Investment

Improved intelligence gathering, enhanced collaboration among security agencies, and increased investment in modern military equipment have significantly strengthened Nigeria's ongoing operations against terror groups, according to the Good Governance Advocates Without Borders. The group acknowledged that security challenges persist in some regions but highlighted that sustained military offensives, intelligence-driven operations, and collaboration with local communities are producing measurable results.

In recent months, military operations have intensified against insurgents, bandits, kidnappers, and oil thieves across various parts of the country. Security agencies have reported numerous successes, including the elimination of terrorist commanders, the rescue of kidnapped victims, the destruction of criminal hideouts, and the recovery of arms and ammunition. These actions are part of the federal government's renewed efforts to combat insecurity.

These rallies aim to commend President Bola Tinubu for the perceived significant improvements in Nigeria's security landscape under his administration. The convener of the group, Charles Onoja, stated that the rallies are designed to express appreciation for the government's efforts in combating terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and crude oil theft.

Onoja emphasized that the initiative is also intended to celebrate the sacrifices of Nigerian security personnel and encourage continued investment in the country's security architecture. He stressed that the rallies are strictly non-partisan and should not be viewed through a political lens, asserting that national security is a shared responsibility requiring the support of all Nigerians.
