GTA 6 preview released on Netflix, featuring car chases and outlaw-style protagonists

Rockstar Games has unveiled a 26-minute preview of its eagerly awaited title, Grand Theft Auto 6, offering fans a first glimpse of the game's setting and characters. The preview, released on Netflix, transports viewers to Vice City, a fictional locale inspired by Miami, and introduces players to the game's protagonists, Lucia and Jason.

The preview depicts the duo engaged in a range of illicit activities, drawing comparisons to the infamous outlaw couple Bonnie and Clyde. Scenes include escaping a drug bust, engaging in car chases, visiting a strip club, and participating in shootouts, painting a picture of the game's criminal underworld narrative. The developers have also indicated that players may have the ability to control the characters' interactions, such as holding hands.

This official preview arrives after a period of significant disruption for Rockstar, which experienced substantial leaks of game footage starting August 18. The company publicly condemned the leaks, calling them "heartbreaking" and expressing disappointment that the game was not revealed as intended. In response, Rockstar has pursued legal action, obtaining court orders to identify the source of the leaks.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is now slated for release on November 19, a revised date from its original late 2025 schedule. The previous installment, GTA 5, released in 2013, achieved immense commercial success, selling over 200 million copies. The anticipation for GTA 6 is palpable, further heightened by its availability on Netflix's gaming platform and the ongoing efforts to secure the game's intellectual property.
