Guatemalan champions celebrated for title win and 90th anniversary

Club Social y Deportivo Municipal, Guatemala's most decorated football club, was celebrated for winning its 33rd Liga Nacional title in the Torneo Clausura 2026 and marking 90 years of history. The event, hosted by Banco de Desarrollo Rural, S.A. (BANRURAL) at its zone 9 headquarters, honored the team's enduring legacy and recent championship.

BANRURAL, a sponsor of Municipal for over two decades, has collaborated with the club on various promotions and products, fostering a strong relationship with the team's supporters. The celebration was attended by the club's full board of directors, led by Gerardo Villa, along with technical director Mario Acevedo and players José Carlos Martínez, Rudy Muñoz, Kenderson Navarro, and David Aldana, who received commemorative plaques.
