Guimaraes signing will take Arsenal to next level, says Arteta

Mikel Arteta expressed his delight with the signing of Bruno Guimaraes, stating the midfielder will help Arsenal reach the "next level." The manager emphasized the energy, hunger, and desire Guimaraes brings, believing it is crucial for creating a "big history at the club" and pushing the organization higher.

I'm delighted to have him. We see very clearly - especially the energy that he brought immediately to the training ground - the hunger, the desire to come here and create a big history at the club.

Arteta detailed Guimaraes's potential on the pitch, noting his versatility to play in multiple midfield positions. He praised the player's "tremendous timing and intuition to win the ball back and progress play very, very fast." Additionally, Arteta highlighted Guimaraes's comfort in moving between lines, playing behind defenses, and his "goal threat" with a "smell and a really good timing to get in the box."

And that's the ambition that we need. We want to go to the next level and are very, very much convinced that we're going to need players with such a personality, desire and character to push everybody inside the organisation to go even higher.

The Gunners have also signed Christos Tzolis and goalkeeper Illan Meslier, though they missed out on Vinicius Jr. Arteta indicated that Arsenal remains ambitious in the transfer market, seeking the "right player" to significantly improve the squad. Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber is still "weeks away" from returning, and William Saliba remains sidelined with a back injury.
