Gunmen kill three in Nigeria school attack

Gunmen riding on approximately 40 motorcycles stormed a school in the Iluke Bunu community of Nigeria's central Kogi state on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of three people. Among the victims were a school vice principal, a 70-year-old man, and a 6-year-old child. One security operative sustained injuries during the assault.

The Nigerian Police Force, alongside military and local vigilante forces, responded to the attack. A fierce gun battle ensued, during which security personnel forced the attackers to flee into the nearby bush.
