Gyökeres to Start World Cup Warm-up Match Against Greece, Coach Confirms

Sweden's national football team coach, Graham Potter, has announced that star striker Viktor Gyökeres will start in the upcoming World Cup warm-up match against Greece. Gyökeres, who recently competed in the Champions League final with Arsenal, has now joined the national squad. Initially, it was understood that he would not participate in either the match against Norway or the upcoming game against Greece. However, Potter confirmed Gyökeres's inclusion in the starting lineup for Thursday's game. "Viktor will start tomorrow," Potter stated. "Sometimes you have plans, but you can't always plan for how a player feels after a Champions League final." Potter also revealed that Isak will play alongside Gyökeres in the forward line, marking the first time the pair will play together. "Isak will start up front with Viktor. It's the first time I get to see them together. It will be exciting," the coach added. In the goalkeeping department, Potter confirmed that Kristoffer Nordfeldt, who played in the playoff matches, will start against Greece. This decision comes after Jacob Widell Zetterström guarded the net in the match against Norway, which saw three goals conceded but also several impressive saves. Captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, who came on as a substitute against Norway, will also feature in the starting eleven. Additionally, Potter mentioned Gabriel Gudmundsson as another player set to start.
