Hajduk secures million-euro windfall with European qualification

Croatian football club Hajduk has secured a significant financial boost, earning at least 3.87 million euros by qualifying for the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League. This substantial windfall comes after their successful progression past Polish side Raków in the final qualifying round.

The multi-million euro sum comprises earnings from the four qualifying rounds Hajduk navigated, beginning with their Europa League qualifiers against Žilina and Pafos, before moving to the Conference League. They then overcame Raków to secure a spot among the 36 teams in the league phase. The club received 700,000 euros for the qualifying rounds and an additional 3.17 million euros for reaching the league stage.

This guaranteed income represents a crucial financial injection for the club, especially as it marks Hajduk's return to a European competition's league phase for the first time in 15 years. The financial stability provided by this achievement could be vital for the club's future, potentially enabling further strengthening of the squad.

While 3.87 million euros is the guaranteed minimum, Hajduk has the opportunity to increase its revenue further through results in the upcoming European autumn fixtures. Each win in the league phase is worth 400,000 euros, with a draw earning 133,000 euros. Additional bonuses are available for their final league standing and potential progression into the knockout stages, offering a clear incentive for strong performances.
