Hamdoun turns heads with Getafe

Moroccan player Mohamed Yassine Hamdoun is capturing attention at Spanish club Getafe, having earned opportunities to play with the first team despite recently signing with the reserve squad. Hamdoun joined Getafe from Real Betis's reserve team and has already participated in two friendly matches during the pre-season preparations for the new season.

He started and played the full 90 minutes against Atletico Madrid. He also completed another full match against English club Tottenham, which ended in a 1-1 draw. These performances have put him in strong contention for a place in the first-team squad for Getafe's opening La Liga fixture against Deportivo Alavés on August 15.

According to special information obtained by Hespress, Hamdoun's level during the preparation period has convinced the technical staff to give him a chance with the senior team. He is now among the young talents the club is closely monitoring. Hamdoun hopes his participation in pre-season training with the first team will open the door for his official La Liga debut, having made a quick impression since his arrival at Getafe.

Hamdoun is a graduate of the Mohammed VI Football Academy and previously played for several teams in the Spanish third division and for Real Betis's second team. He also represented the Moroccan U20 national team.
