Hamilton finally celebrates with Ferrari: Wins Barcelona Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton achieved a dream victory, clinching his first win with Ferrari at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. The veteran driver, a seven-time world champion, triumphed under the scorching Catalan sun at the Montmeló circuit. Starting from second on the grid, Hamilton led a historic all-British podium, with Mercedes teammate George Russell finishing second and McLaren's Lando Norris taking third. The race took a dramatic turn when championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who had won the previous five Grands Prix, was forced to retire with five laps remaining due to an engine problem, just as he had moved into second place. Hamilton, who arrived in Barcelona trailing Antonelli by 66 points, has now cut that deficit to 41 points. "You all helped me make this dream come true. I can't thank you enough," Hamilton expressed to his team. He also thanked the fans, stating, "Thanks for reminding me who I am. I couldn't have done it without you." This marks Hamilton's 106th career Formula 1 victory and his first since July 2024. Ferrari's strategy, often criticized, benefited from a timely virtual safety car triggered by Fernando Alonso's retirement. Hamilton, who had recently pitted for fresh tires, capitalized on the opportunity to take the lead and extend his advantage over Russell and Antonelli. Max Verstappen finished fourth, followed by Oscar Piastri, Isack Hadjar, and Pierre Gasly. The Top 10 also included Franco Colapinto and Liam Lawson.
