Hana Financial Group launches 'HANA Green Mate' eco-campaign linking carbon reduction and tree donations

Hana Financial Group has initiated an everyday environmental initiative that links daily activities with conservation efforts. The 'HANA Green Mate' campaign, running from August 13 to September 30, invites both employees and the general public to participate in carbon-neutral practices.

A key feature of this campaign is its tailored approach, offering 70 specific environmental tasks based on participants' locations and situations. Group members can access a dedicated platform via QR code, select their current environment, and receive recommended eco-friendly tasks. These tasks span six categories, including reducing energy consumption, optimizing heating and cooling efficiency, saving resources through electronic documents, minimizing single-use items, utilizing eco-friendly transportation, and adopting low-carbon diets.

Upon completion of the campaign, Hana Financial Group plans to measure the greenhouse gas emission reductions based on the number of tasks completed and their quantitative results. A parallel initiative is open to the public, encouraging individuals to share their personal energy-saving tips on social media for a chance to win beverage coupons.
