Hana Financial Group Supports 55 Out-of-School Youths with Scholarships and Career Training

Hana Financial Group is investing in the future of young Koreans by offering significant support to 55 adolescents who are not enrolled in conventional schooling. In collaboration with the Korea Economic and Business Association and other partners, the group will provide each scholarship recipient with 3 million won (approximately $2,150 USD) and offer career exploration and experience programs.

The initiative, formally launched at a ceremony in Seoul, specifically targets youths who have faced economic challenges that might otherwise prevent them from pursuing their aspirations. This program aims to empower these individuals, offering them financial assistance for educational expenses such as academy fees, study materials, and certification tests, as well as opportunities for practical experience.

Beyond the financial aid, the program includes an additional incentive for high-achievers. Twenty of the selected students will receive vouchers that can be used for sports and physical activities, including swimming and Taekwondo. Hana Financial Group stated that this program is part of its broader commitment to supporting the next generation, which also includes initiatives like providing meals for children. The group plans to continue various social contribution projects aimed at empowering future generations.
