Hana Financial Group wins global business award for 55-year corporate history

Hana Financial Group’s first integrated corporate history has received the top-level Gold Award in the publication category at the 2026 International Business Awards.

The winning book, ‘20-Year History of Hana Financial Group,’ was published to mark the 20th anniversary of the group’s holding company. It records the organization’s pioneering spirit from its early years, along with its focus on customers and society and its distinctive path of growth.

The volume brings together 55 years of change, beginning with Korea Investment Finance, the group’s predecessor founded in 1971. It follows the company’s transition into a commercial bank and its later reorganization under a financial holding company structure.

Specialist corporate-history producer Dani Planning took part in the writing and editing, helping strengthen the book’s planning and the precision of its manuscript. A group representative said it was the first history to systematically combine the historical trajectories of all affiliates into a single volume.
