Hanguang 42: Artillery demonstrates rapid response in live-fire exercise

Taiwan's Fifth Operational Zone conducted a live-fire exercise as part of the "Hanguang 42" drill, showcasing the artillery's rapid response capabilities. During the exercise, forward observation teams identified enemy landing forces on the beach and immediately transmitted target location and observation data to the firing command post.

Following the firing command, the command post calculated the necessary firing data and issued the order for the artillery units to engage. After the firing ceased, artillery crews swiftly executed tactical maneuvers, including converting firing positions and implementing camouflage. This realistic training aims to enhance soldiers' ability to respond to unexpected battlefield situations and improve overall combat effectiveness.

The exercise involved soldiers pulling lanyards to fire artillery, demonstrating their readiness. The drill is designed to prepare troops for various scenarios they might face in a conflict, emphasizing swift and decisive action against potential threats.
