Hankyoreh and TBS to co-host live broadcast for local election vote count

Hankyoreh and TBS are joining forces to provide live coverage of the vote count for the June 3 local elections. Their joint broadcast, titled '2026 Citizen's Choice: Si-Sun,' is set to run for six hours, from 6 p.m. to midnight on election day.

The broadcast will be divided into three parts, each focusing on different stages of the election results. The first part, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will offer an initial prediction of the electoral landscape. The second segment, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., will analyze the emerging winners, and the final part, from 10 p.m. to midnight, will summarize the final results.

Prominent figures from journalism, academia, and public opinion research will participate in the broadcast. This includes Hankyoreh reporters, commentators like Byun Sang-wook, and representatives from organizations such as the Korea Society Opinion Institute (KSOI). The program will be accessible through Hankyoreh's YouTube channel 'Hankyoreh TV,' TBS's YouTube channel 'TBS Citizen Broadcasting,' as well as TBS radio and television channels.
