Hanoi removes 11 department heads from City People's Committee

The People's Council of Hanoi has approved a resolution to remove 11 department heads from their roles as members of the City People's Committee. The decision was made during the council's sixth session on August 10th, which focused on personnel matters.

This move follows a recent resolution, numbered 50, which stipulates that the City People's Committee should comprise no more than six members. These members are designated to lead specialized agencies that advise on areas such as finance, internal affairs, justice, and security, as well as the Commander of the Capital's Military Command and the Director of the City Police.

The 11 officials removed from their positions are: Tran Duc Hoat (Chief Inspector), Nguyen Phi Thuong (Director of the Department of Construction), Vo Nguyen Phong (Director of the Department of Industry and Trade), Le Thanh Nam (Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), Pham Tuan Long (Director of the Department of Culture and Sports), Nguyen Trong Ky Anh (Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture), Nguyen Van Hien (Director of the Department of Education and Training), Nguyen Trong Dien (Director of the Department of Health), Nguyen Sy Truong (Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion), Cu Ngoc Trang (Director of the Department of Science and Technology), and Dang Huong Giang (Director of the Department of Tourism).

According to the City People's Committee's submission on August 7th, these removals are a result of restructuring and do not stem from any violations or shortcomings on the part of the individuals. Their positions as heads of their respective departments remain unchanged.
