Hanse Sail concludes its 35th edition in Rostock

The 35th Hanse Sail festival in Rostock wrapped up on Sunday after four days of maritime celebration. The event drew hundreds of thousands of visitors, drawn by approximately 120 ships and over 250 program activities spread across six venues. The Hanse Sail is widely recognized as one of Europe's premier maritime festivals.

Organizers proudly claim it is the "world's largest annual traditional sailing ship meeting." Throughout the festival, attendees had the chance to embark on sea trips aboard various vessels, sailing on the Baltic Sea. The maritime diversity was not confined to the decks of traditional ships; the sailing stadium below the former Neptun shipyard hosted inclusive sailing sports.

Children, both with and without disabilities, participated together in match races, offering a tangible experience of inclusion on the water. The dates for the 36th Hanse Sail have already been confirmed, with the next edition scheduled to take place from August 5th to 8th, 2027.
