Hanwha Eagles Support Local Youth Baseball Team After Championship Win

The Hanwha Eagles professional baseball team has extended its support to a local amateur team, the Seokgyo Elementary School in Cheongju, celebrating their recent championship victory.

As part of the initiative, the Eagles provided the young athletes with approximately 3 million South Korean won (about $2,200 USD) worth of baseball equipment. This donation aims to foster the development of baseball at the grassroots level within the region the team represents.

In addition to the equipment, the Eagles extended an invitation to the entire Seokgyo Elementary School baseball program, including its 90 players and coaching staff. They were welcomed as guests to watch a home game between the Hanwha Eagles and the NC Dinos at the Hanwha Life Insurance Eagles Park in Daejeon.

This gesture highlights the professional team's commitment to nurturing future talent and engaging with the local community. By supporting amateur baseball, the Hanwha Eagles aim to inspire young players and contribute to the growth of the sport.
