Hanwha renews a 20-year promise, spending 13 billion won on Seoul fireworks festival

Hanwha Group will stage its Seoul World Fireworks Festival at 8 p.m. on September 5, continuing a corporate social contribution project that began more than 20 years ago.

Hanwha is investing a total of 13 billion won in this year’s festival, according to business-sector sources. Of that amount, 4.5 billion won will go toward safety management.

The safety allocation increased 17% from the previous year’s 3.85 billion won. Hanwha began the festival in 2000, although it was cancelled when unavoidable, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.
