Harman Kardon Showcases Advanced Automotive Sound Technology at Academic Conference

Harman International Korea is intensifying its focus on enhancing the in-car "sound experience," strategically broadening its business to encompass the design of emotional and user interface (UI/UX) elements within vehicle cabins. This shift signifies a move beyond traditional audio quality to a more holistic approach to the automotive interior experience.

The company is set to participate in the 2026 Spring Noise and Vibration Academic Conference, held in Samcheok, Gangwon Province. During this event, Harman International Korea will introduce the Harman Kardon brand and its premium automotive sound system technologies. The conference provides a platform to highlight advancements in vehicle acoustics and user-centric design.

A dedicated session will feature presentations from key personnel, including Harman International Korea President Pyo Jong-hoon on the company's overview, Marketing and PR head Jeong Seon-yong on the Harman Kardon brand, and UI/UX designer Lee Ju-eun on sound system design strategies. The ASE team will also present Harman Kardon's sound philosophy and case studies, emphasizing an integrated approach that combines lighting and sound for a premium audio strategy.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the Harman Kardon premium car audio system integrated into the Kia EV5. This system is designed to create an immersive sound environment by positioning the main soundstage at the front of the dashboard. It also includes features like smart speed-dependent volume control, which automatically adjusts audio levels based on the vehicle's speed. Harman currently supplies its audio systems to various Kia models, including the EV3, EV4, EV5, Seltos, Niro, and Tasman.
