Harmony of the Silk Road celebrated at Turkey's ancient Telmessos Theater

The ancient Telmessos Theater in Fethiye, Turkey, hosted a cultural event titled "Harmony of the Silk Road" to celebrate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and the People's Republic of China. The event showcased the artistic talents of the Peking University of Foreign Studies Dance and Music Ensemble.

Attendees included the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ankara, Jiang Xuebin, Fethiye District Governor Fethiye Kaymakam Fatih Akkaya, Fethiye Municipality Deputy Mayors Sabri Oğuz Bolelli and Veli Uysal, representatives from public institutions, and numerous citizens. The unique atmosphere of the historic Telmessos Ancient Theater provided a stunning backdrop for the gala performance.

The program featured traditional Chinese dances and music, offering the audience unforgettable moments that reflected the universal language of intercultural friendship and art. The performances aimed to highlight the cultural exchange and growing ties between the two nations.

A particularly memorable moment occurred when the ensemble surprised the Turkish audience by performing the well-known Turkish folk song "Üsküdar'a Gider İken." The rendition, sung in both Turkish and Chinese, was met with great appreciation and prolonged applause from the audience, symbolizing a harmonious blend of cultures.
