Haysiyet premieres tonight on Kanal D

The wait is over for Haysiyet, Kanal D’s much-anticipated new series, which begins its television run tonight. Its cast members have offered a glimpse of the characters and the values shaping the story.

Doğukan Güngör plays Mehmet, the central character caught between love and dignity. He describes Mehmet as more stubborn and passionate than himself because the character faces much harder conditions. “Love is something completely different. Merih Öztürk portrays Simay, whom she describes as fragile but strong. She highlighted the series’ willingness to show characters in their gray areas rather than presenting them as simply good or bad. Kerem Alışık returns to television after four years as Sadık Karlıova, a character who recalls the memorable Yeşilçam figure Yaşar Usta. Nergis Öztürk called the series a layered story with a classic Yeşilçam flavor. She said honesty forms the foundation of Nimet and the Karlıova family, though those values will face different tests as the story develops. Reha Özcan described law professor Haluk Narmanlı as stern but internally consistent, while Ayça Varlıer said viewers should expect surprises from Şehnaz, a protective and family-oriented woman whose story will gradually unfold.
