He threatened his parents, intimidated relatives and placed a cross outside his sister’s home. Yet they defended him in court

For more than a year, a middle-aged man from the Prostějov area insulted and threatened his relatives, using messages, photographs and videos to intimidate them. He also appeared outside their homes, and at one point placed a cross in front of his sister’s house.

The harassment later escalated into a physical attack on another man. The court convicted him of bodily harm and dangerous threats and imposed an unconditional prison sentence. His appeal did not change the outcome.

The case took an unusual turn during the proceedings: the family members who had been targeted stood up for the defendant. Despite the threats and intimidation described in the case, the injured relatives defended him in court.
