'He was a good boy': Mother of Héctor Sambrano, Barrio Colón representative, seeks justice for his death

The death of Héctor Sambrano, a former director of Ifarhu and community representative for Barrio Colón, is under investigation as a potential homicide. Sambrano was found deceased in an apartment located in Carrasquilla, within the San Francisco corregimiento.

His family has expressed a strong desire for justice, reporting that Sambrano's vehicle and personal belongings were taken during the incident. His mother, Samira Muñoz, described him as a kind individual who did not involve himself in trouble, pleading for the authorities to apprehend those responsible and recover the stolen items.

He didn't bother anyone. I only ask God for justice, because he wasn't one to get into trouble. They killed me, they stole his car and his belongings. Let them do justice and find that person.

Friends and relatives have remembered Sambrano as a dedicated community leader deeply committed to his district. Misleana Arosemena, a family friend, recalled his lifelong inclination to help others, emphasizing his noble character and the significant loss his passing represents. The family is placing their faith in divine intervention for justice and for the perpetrator to experience remorse.

The alarm was raised by a relative who lived with Sambrano, prompting the authorities to launch an investigation. The Section of Homicides is actively pursuing leads in the case.
