Danilo Nikolić, a 15-year-old from Kruševac, has spent most of his young life fighting a severe battle for his health. His childhood, marked by hospitals and uncertainty, stands in stark contrast to the carefree days most children experience. He has contended with a neurodevelopmental disorder, a severe immune system disorder, arthritis, chronic inflammation, parvovirus infection, and a rare genetic mutation that further complicated his condition.

Initial stabilization came from a Russian doctor's therapies, followed by a specialized treatment for his immune system developed by Japanese experts using his mother's blood. Despite these efforts, Danilo, who has not been able to live a typical childhood since age five, remains unable to speak, lacks independence, and struggles with attention and cognitive functioning. This inability to express himself often leads to frustration and emotional distress.

While his condition is currently stable, continuous treatment, regular check-ups, specialist consultations, laboratory tests, and therapies are essential to prevent the return of his illnesses. The family now faces a critical opportunity: a planned neuromodulation intervention at a specialized clinic in Cyprus, which has a significant success rate with this method.

Doctors believe this procedure could lead to substantial progress, potentially enabling Danilo to become more independent, improve his cognitive abilities, and regain speech. Without this intervention, he will remain dependent on others.
