Herzegovinian Company Invests Over 40 Million Euros in New Croatian Factory

A significant investment of over 40 million euros is set to transform the industrial landscape of Hrvatsko Zagorje in Croatia. TT Kabeli, a company based in Široki Brijeg, is constructing a new factory in the Poznanovec industrial zone. This new facility will specialize in the production of medium and high-voltage cables, positioning the company within one of Europe's fastest-growing segments of the electrical industry.

This venture represents the largest single investment in the history of TT Kabeli, which already exports its products to numerous global markets. The new factory signifies a major technological leap, as the company, previously focused on low-voltage cables, will now enter the production of medium and high-voltage cables. These cables are crucial for power grids, large infrastructure projects, and electricity transmission, sectors experiencing robust growth across Europe due to investments in modernizing energy infrastructure and the ongoing energy transition.

Marina Šaravanja, a member of the Management Board of TT Kabeli Croatia, emphasized the strategic importance of this investment. "This is also strategic because we believe that the production of medium and high-voltage cables is of strategic importance for energy," she stated. She confirmed that the investment exceeds 40 million euros and indicated that it will not be the company's last in Croatia, with plans for additional production capacities in the near future. TT Kabeli currently produces low-voltage cables and exports them to over 40 to 50 countries worldwide; this new factory aims to strengthen its market position further.

The project also received attention from Croatia's Minister of Economy, Ante Šušnjar, who visited the construction site. He highlighted that the new National Industrial Development Strategy will support projects in the electro-industry and bolster domestic production. Šušnjar noted the success of Croatian companies in demanding international markets and expressed optimism about the future of the European electro-industry. The government is also preparing new financial programs for exporters, including factoring, to facilitate business operations for export-oriented companies starting in the fall.
