Hezbollah Thanks Iran for Deal Inclusion, Urges Residents to Delay Return to Border Towns

Hezbollah on Monday extended its "profound gratitude" to Iran for its crucial role in including Lebanon in a potential deal to end the ongoing conflict with Israel. The militant group specifically thanked Iran's leaders, forces, and people for their "steadfast support" and for insisting that Lebanon be part of any understanding that leads to a cessation of hostilities.

In a statement, Hezbollah emphasized its commitment to defending Lebanon's sovereignty and its people. The group declared it "will not accept any aggression that violates its country's sovereignty or spills the blood of its people." It reaffirmed Lebanon's "legitimate and unwavering right to defend its land, people and sovereignty until a full (Israeli) withdrawal is achieved and the prisoners are returned."
