Hezonja's 37 points, game-winning three-pointer lead Croatia past Turkey

Mario Hezonja delivered a stellar performance, scoring 37 points and hitting the game-winning three-pointer with just four seconds remaining, to secure a thrilling 95-94 victory for Croatia over Turkey in a preparation tournament game in Hamburg. The Croatian team, coached by Tomislav Mijatović, overcame the current European runners-up in a closely contested match.

While Turkey played without NBA players Alperen Şengün and Furkan Korkmaz, they still fielded a strong team including former NBA players Cedi Osman, who scored 17 points, and Omer Yurtseven, who added 18. Their new American player, Malachi Flynn, also contributed 18 points.

Croatia saw significant contributions from centers Dario Šarić, who scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, and Karlo Matković, who added 12 points, including two three-pointers. Ivica Zubac finished with seven points, four rebounds, and two assists in 18 minutes. Despite trailing by nine points at halftime (48-39), Croatia mounted a comeback in the second half, with Hezonja's late heroics sealing the win.

Croatia will now face the winner of the match between hosts Germany and the Czech Republic in the tournament final on Saturday.
