High school baseball pitcher drowns while swimming at home

A promising young baseball player's life was tragically cut short when he drowned while swimming at Nanping Beach in Pingtung County. The 17-year-old high school student, a dedicated pitcher who had pursued baseball training since elementary school, was home on summer break when the incident occurred. He was reportedly swimming with friends when he was caught by a large wave and disappeared beneath the water.
