High School Sports Association Sees Leadership Handover

Hu Jianfeng, the outgoing chairman of the Chinese Taipei High School Sports Association, emotionally passed the torch to Chen Shengli, principal of Longtan High School, during a handover ceremony. Hu Jianfeng, who served two terms, was praised for his dedication to promoting student sports events and international exchanges, which he said required immense collective effort. He even became choked up during his farewell speech.

Chen Shengli, the new chairman, pledged to continue developing the association's four major leagues: softball, basketball, football, and volleyball. Beyond athletic competitions, he also plans to focus on students' moral development and strengthen ties with university sports organizations. He aims to build upon the existing foundation to further advance high school sports in Taiwan.

The ceremony was attended by officials, including Huang Chi-huang, Political Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, who witnessed the official transfer of authority. Zhu Cai-feng will continue as secretary-general, with her husband, Hsinchu City Deputy Mayor Lin Kun-han, also present to support the transition.
