Ho Chi Minh City holds competition for skilled speakers to boost Party communication

Ho Chi Minh City is hosting a competition for its most skilled speakers, aiming to bolster oral propaganda and the effectiveness of Party communication. The event underscores the crucial role of speakers and communicators in connecting Party committees and authorities with the public.

Duong Anh Duc, head of the Propaganda and Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, emphasized that these communicators are vital on the ideological front. They disseminate Party resolutions and gather feedback from officials and the public to inform leadership.

The competition itself is a significant political event, drawing 100% participation from registered agencies and localities. Duc highlighted that the final round demands comprehensive knowledge and advanced skills, urging contestants to demonstrate their understanding of theory, core resolutions, and current affairs.

Participants must blend traditional communication methods with digital technology to increase engagement. The 31 finalists will undergo three stages: preparing a presentation outline, delivering a speech, and answering judges' questions. Topics include national and city Party resolutions, strategic directives, and the city's efforts in addressing issues like transportation, environment, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
