Ho Chi Minh City outlines 9 steps for Grade 1 and 6 advanced school registration

Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Education and Training has detailed a nine-step online registration process for students entering Grade 1 and Grade 6 in advanced, integrated, and specialized programs for the 2026-2027 academic year. Parents are required to access the official portal at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn/ to begin the application.

The process involves carefully reading enrollment regulations and instructions on the homepage before selecting the appropriate registration function. Parents will need to enter their child's personal identification number and password to log in and proceed with the application. Those experiencing login issues are advised to contact their child's current school or their local ward for assistance.

After logging in, parents will review their child's information and select the desired school type, which includes high-quality, advanced, regional and international integration, integrated English programs, enhanced French programs, or other specialized models. Each school may have different admission criteria, with mandatory requirements marked by an asterisk (*).

The registration window for these specialized schools opens on May 27 and closes at 5 p.m. on June 7. During this period, parents must also select the admission area and student category for general enrollment. Results for specialized schools will be announced between June 8 and June 15 by ward authorities and school principals. If a student is not admitted to a specialized school, they will be assigned to a regular school.
