Ho Chi Minh City police penalize three for illegal advertising

Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have taken action against three individuals for illegally posting advertisements, significantly impacting the city's urban aesthetics. The individuals were apprehended by officers from the Xuan Hoa Ward Police while engaged in pasting advertisements, notably for septic tank services, onto utility poles, building walls, and other public structures.

During questioning, the two individuals, identified as L.Q.V and N.Đ.S from Tan Hoa Ward, admitted they were hired by N.T.T.U from Phu Nhuan Ward to distribute the advertisements. The Xuan Hoa Ward Police subsequently summoned U. for questioning and initiated administrative violation proceedings against all three.

In addition to administrative penalties, the police mandated that the individuals personally remove all illegally posted advertisements under the supervision of law enforcement and local security forces. This measure aims to serve as a deterrent against future offenses. The police emphasized that such unauthorized advertising not only mars the cityscape but also potentially conceals illicit activities like illegal lending, usury, gambling, and other criminal behavior.

Simultaneously, the Xuan Hoa Ward Police organized a "Green Sunday" initiative at Phan Dinh Phung Park, which included removing illegal advertisements across the area. During these operations, authorities are collecting contact information from "dirty" advertisements, especially those related to septic tank services that show signs of connection to illegal lending or gambling. This information is being forwarded to relevant agencies for further investigation and action. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any instances of illegal advertising to help maintain urban beauty and public order.
