Ho Chi Minh City police units awarded for rapid resolution of shooting case

Six police units were honored for their rapid and successful resolution of a shooting incident in Ho Chi Minh City's Ben Thanh district. The awards ceremony, presided over by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc, recognized the exceptional efforts of the involved law enforcement agencies.

The honored units included the Ho Chi Minh City Police, the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security in Cambodia, the Criminal Police Department, the Anti-Drug Crimes Investigation Police Department, the Operational Technical Department (all from the Ministry of Public Security), and the Tay Ninh Provincial Police. Their coordinated efforts were crucial in apprehending the suspects responsible for the shooting.

In just 72 hours, a very short period, the police force successfully dismantled the case and arrested the criminal suspects. This outstanding achievement is a clear testament to the bravery, intelligence, and fierce fighting spirit of the Ho Chi Minh City Police.

Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc praised the spirit of "rapid case-cracking" demonstrated by the police, emphasizing that the perpetrators and victims were foreign nationals. He highlighted that the successful operation, which led to the arrest of the criminals within a mere 72 hours, showcased the "bravery, intelligence, and fierce fighting spirit" of the Ho Chi Minh City Police. The chairman also acknowledged the close coordination between the Ministry of Public Security, Tay Ninh Provincial Police, and various operational departments.

Looking ahead, Chairman Duoc urged the Ho Chi Minh City Police to continue upholding their traditions, supporting the city's development, and maintaining a peaceful environment. He stressed the importance of officers dedicating themselves to protecting citizens' happiness and contributing to the city's modernization. Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, attributed the success to effective collaboration, which allowed for the swift identification and safe apprehension of the suspects.
