Ho Chi Minh City trains youth officials to reach young people through digital platforms

Ho Chi Minh City has trained 217 newly appointed Youth, Student and Children Union officials as the city seeks new ways to connect with young people through digital platforms.

The two-day course, held on September 5 and 6 at Ly Tu Trong Youth Union School, combined professional instruction with opportunities for participants to exchange experience and share effective approaches to youth activities and support for children and teenagers.

The program was designed around changing demands in youth work. It included training on communication across digital platforms, digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence in daily work. Other sessions addressed propaganda and mass mobilization, as well as ethnic, belief and religious affairs for officials working in communes, wards and special administrative zones.

Officials working in schools received additional instruction on school-based Youth Union activities and their main responsibilities. Those responsible for children’s programs learned how to organize activities for children. The sessions also aimed to improve participants’ ability to advise, organize and handle practical work at the local level.

Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Secretary Ngo Minh Hai encouraged the newly appointed officials to maintain a pioneering spirit and show confidence and creativity. He said their work should help renew the organization’s methods and improve Youth, Student and Children Union activities while providing more practical support to young people in the new period.
