Hollywood duo underline Premier League ambition for Wrexham

Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are doubling down on their ambition for Wrexham AFC to not only win the Championship title but also secure promotion to the Premier League. This renewed push comes as the Welsh club prepares for its 2026/27 Championship season, which kicks off with a derby against Cardiff.

Despite the near miss, Deadpool star Reynolds expressed "obscene pride" in the team's performance, while McElhenney, co-creator of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," emphasized the owners' drive to reach the top flight.

This series has not only highlighted the club's sporting ambitions but also shed light on the local community, even inspiring fans like Jeff and Janice Ivey from Texas to relocate to Wrexham after falling in love with the city through the show.
