Honda Prelude 27th Year Model Arrives, Cockpit Features Blue-Black Interior for Sporty Feel, Limited Two-Tone Model Creates Sharp Contrast

Honda Taiwan has launched the 2026 model year of its Prelude hybrid sports car, following the strong demand for the initial 200 units, which sold out quickly. The new model year introduces a blue-black interior, aiming to enhance the sporty feel of the driver-oriented cockpit. For those seeking a more distinctive look, a limited two-tone edition is available. This special version features a white exterior with a black roof and mirrors, complemented by a blue-and-white interior, creating a bright and futuristic ambiance. This two-tone model is priced at NT$1.769 million, a NT$20,000 premium over the standard 2026 Prelude, which costs NT$1.749 million and also features the new blue-black interior.

The 2026 Prelude comes standard with 19-inch wheels, blue Brembo front brake calipers, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch infotainment screen. It also includes a Bose sound system and sports bucket seats. The car is powered by Honda's e:HEV hybrid system, combining a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with electric motors. This setup delivers a combined output of 184 PS and 32.1 kg·m of torque. The Prelude incorporates Honda's S+ Shift function, which simulates gear shifts using engine sound, RPM changes, and motor dynamics to enhance the sporty driving experience. Drivers can select from four modes, COMFORT, GT, SPORT, and INDIVIDUAL, which adjust power output, steering assist, suspension damping, and sound for various driving scenarios, from daily commuting to spirited driving.
