Hong Jin-kyung Reveals 47kg Weight Reached for Paris Fashion Show

South Korean broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung shared the extreme lengths she went to for a recent Paris fashion show, revealing she hit a personal low weight of 47 kilograms (approximately 103 pounds). This weight matched her high school physique.

Appearing on the final episode of the MBC entertainment program 'Sora and Jin-kyung,' Hong recounted the intense pressure leading up to the event. She described the overwhelming hunger she felt immediately after completing her runway walk, stating, "My stomach was so empty, my belly was stuck to my back. The first thought was that I needed to eat something." Her daughter, Ra-el, was also on her mind.

Hong shared that she ate a sandwich right after the show to quell her hunger. She also offered one to fellow model Lee So-ra, who appeared visibly thinner. Lee So-ra commented, "I feel like I've lost 5kg since yesterday. What is this?" Hong explained her drastic weight loss was driven by a desire to avoid appearing "bloated" even with slight weight gain, emphasizing her competitive drive regarding her weight for the show.

Lee So-ra echoed the sentiment, admitting she could barely drink water during the event. The intense preparation and physical toll were acknowledged by guest Uhm Jung-hwa, who praised their dedication, saying, "I felt like you were creating and showing the path forward for yourselves. It was so cool and I'm so proud."
