Hong Kong actor Chen Shanhe, who was a familiar face in films during the 1980s, is reportedly facing health challenges, as revealed by his half-sister, singer Wang Xinping. Chen Shanhe, often typecast as a "weak character" due to his youthful appearance and roles, has largely been out of the public eye since the mid-1990s.

Wang Xinping, daughter of the late martial arts film icon Wang Yu and actress Lin Cui, shared her brother's current situation in a recent interview. She stated that Chen Shanhe, now 65, is experiencing some health problems but assured that his condition is not serious and that he is well-cared for. "He has some illnesses, but they are not very serious. In short, he is well arranged and someone is taking care of him," Wang Xinping said.

The interview also delved into Wang Xinping's personal life, including her memories of her parents' divorce when she was six years old. Wang Xinping also spoke about her relationship with her late uncle, actor Kenneth Tsang, and his wife, actress Chiao Chiao, noting they spent more time together after her marriage.

Chen Shanhe, known for his roles in films like "Tricky Brains" and "The Lucky Stars" series, released two Mandarin albums in Taiwan in the early 1990s before gradually fading from the entertainment industry after 1997. His last known public appearance was in 1992.
