Former Hong Kong ViuTV host Shirley She has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, facing a challenging battle against the disease. The tumor in her abdomen had grown to an alarming 17 centimeters, and the cancer had spread to her appendix, necessitating the removal of her entire uterus to save her life.

She recently shared an update on her health, revealing that her condition has deteriorated significantly. Doctors have determined that her body is too weak to undergo chemotherapy, and her future treatment will focus on palliative care. Facing this difficult turn of events, She has made the resolute decision to donate her body for medical research.

"I want to be a useful person, so I have applied to be a body donor," She stated in a Threads post. "I hope to help more future students. I believe everyone will support this."

Last month, She had undergone her first general anesthesia surgery for a 11-centimeter hydrosalpinx. However, in October of the previous year, a 10-centimeter tumor was discovered in her ovary. The tumor continued to grow rapidly, increasing from 13 to 17 centimeters, causing her abdomen to swell as if she were five months pregnant. Subsequent examinations confirmed the ovarian cancer diagnosis.
