Hoseo University hosts career exploration for local high schoolers

Hoseo University hosted a "Global Convergence College Career Competency Program" on its Cheonan campus on May 29th, offering local high school students an opportunity to explore their career paths. The event attracted approximately 430 students from various high schools in the Cheonan area, including Cheonan Central High School, Cheonan High School, Onyang High School, Seolhwa High School, Oseong High School, and Mokcheon High School.

The program featured 16 distinct activities tailored to the characteristics of different departments. The Police Administration department offered practical training in investigation and field response, while the Digital Finance Management department introduced the future financial industry with a focus on blockchain and cryptocurrency. Other departments provided hands-on experiences such as supply chain management simulations in Logistics and Distribution, and problem-solving using artificial intelligence in Advanced Industrial AI Engineering.

In addition to the departmental experiences, students received one-on-one career counseling sessions. Han Su-jin, Dean of Hoseo University's Global Convergence College, stated, "We prepared this program to help local humanities and social science high school students contemplate and experience their aptitudes and career paths." She added, "We plan to expand our career exploration programs for local high school students in the future."
