Hospital Nicolás Solano adopts digital platform for specialty appointments

The Hospital Nicolás Solano in La Chorrera has implemented a new digital platform, Raisa, to improve the efficiency of scheduling specialty appointments. This initiative seeks to reduce long queues and streamline the process for patients seeking specialized medical care.

Through the Raisa platform, patients can now request appointments online by providing their personal details and the required medical referral for the specific specialty. Marixenia Rivas, head of Medical Records at the hospital, explained the process: "To get an appointment, they must log into the platform and have the specialty referral to complete the procedure."

In its initial days of operation, Raisa has already facilitated over 254 appointments across several high-demand specialties, including dentistry, surgery, physiotherapy, and neurology. The platform operates 24 hours a day, with an expected response time of approximately 48 hours to inform patients of their confirmed appointment date and time.

Hospital authorities anticipate that this digital transformation will significantly enhance patient care and optimize the administrative processes within the hospital. This move aligns with broader efforts to modernize healthcare services in the region.
