Hospitals refusing to treat our father, Nollywood actor Ogogo’s daughters cry out over stage-four cancer

The daughters of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, have made a public appeal for assistance as their father battles stage-four cancer. Lima and Kira Taiwo shared emotional videos on Instagram, revealing that their father's condition has worsened and that medical facilities are refusing to continue his treatment.

Hello everybody, good evening. I’m here to ask for help from my daddy. He has cancer and it’s really, really bad. And the hospitals are refusing to treat him. At least, please, give this man a chance. Nobody wants to do anything.

Lima Taiwo, struggling to hold back tears, directly addressed Nigerians and well-wishers, pleading for help in finding a hospital or medical professional willing to treat her father. She stressed that the family is not soliciting funds but is desperately seeking medical intervention. "Please, I'm begging you. If you know somebody that knows somebody that will be willing to treat him, anything, we're willing to try anything. We're not here to ask for money," she stated.

She explained that the family only recently discovered the severity of his illness, noting that his outward appearance did not initially reflect the advanced stage of his cancer. "You see him, you can’t even know that. Something is wrong that bad. It’s just starting to show. We didn’t even know until like three weeks ago," Lima said. She acknowledged the significant support received from a relative during this crisis.

Kira Taiwo echoed her sister's plea in a separate video, confirming that her father's cancer is at stage four and that doctors have stated they can no longer administer chemotherapy. Both sisters expressed their inability to bear watching their father die and reiterated their urgent need for medical assistance, appealing to anyone with connections in the healthcare sector to come forward.
