Housing deficit: Kwara acquires 132-unit federal housing estate

Kwara State is taking a significant step towards alleviating its housing deficit with the acquisition of a 132-unit federal housing estate. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, represented by the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Segun Ogunsola, officially received the property. This move is a clear demonstration of the state government's commitment to providing sustainable and affordable housing solutions for its citizens, aligning with national efforts to tackle the persistent housing challenge across Nigeria.

This is another effort to bridge the housing deficit in Kwara State and provide sustainable housing for Kwarans.

The newly acquired estate features a variety of housing unit types, including one, two, and three-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes. This diversity aims to cater to different needs and income levels, ensuring that the housing provided is not only adequate but also accessible. The acquisition is part of the Federal Government's National Housing Programme, a crucial initiative designed to bridge the gap between housing demand and supply, particularly in urban and peri-urban areas grappling with rapid population growth and migration.

This estate has 132 housing units of different types, ranging from one, two, to three bedroom detached and semi-detached housing units.
