Argentine journalist Ángel de Brito has revealed details about how Ernestina Pais's son, Benicio Guyot Pais, was informed of his mother's tragic death. According to information shared by sources close to the case on the television program "LAM," police officers went to the son's residence to notify him of the accident.

Benicio Guyot Pais is Ernestina Pais's only child from her relationship with Alejandro Carlos Guyot Maschwitz. Throughout her career, Pais maintained a private life for her son, keeping him largely out of the public eye.

De Brito, visibly emotional, also shared personal anecdotes and memories of his long-standing friendship with Pais. He recalled her last interview, highlighting her strength in overcoming personal difficulties. "We saw her on Bondi TV. She did a spectacular interview that we later repeated here on the program, where she talked about everything. She talked about how she was moving forward from all her struggles, which we know very well because she came many times," he said.

He further commented on Pais's recent history of accidents, noting that she tried to downplay them in her later appearances. "She was very marked by this issue. She was worried about not being able to work with the stigma of having accidents all the time," de Brito added, referencing a recent incident where her car was impounded after she refused a breathalyzer test.
